Maybe so, does that really matter? Think before you come back with something. Since killings in major cities over drugs/gang violence is woefully underreported, would you like if someone assumed that was black Christian males?

It’s really the only logical explanation. The only school shootings I ever heard of growing up were because of inner city gangs and it was usually a 1 person target. Columbine changed everything. Guns and schools have been a constant for generations. What in society has changed in the past 20 years? Schools haven’t, guns haven’t. The only thing that has changed is the never ending flow of information available within minutes to anyone.

Rewarding the culture of stronger family units and stop the media from releasing the identity of shooters which is giving them the attention they are desiring would certainly help.

Somewhere in America right now there is a mentally unstable kid taking in all of this from every direction. And he is probably thinking to himself, “Nobody cares about me, look at the attnetion I’ll receive.”

Absolutely. If a kid has reached such a point of desperation in his mind, one could see how forcing 24/7 media coverage, political fights and school walkouts across the nation are almost incentives for him.
Funny enough, a lot of the media actively tried to avoid showing photos of James Holmes or even mention his name after he was arrested. That practice pretty much ended up being a one-off.

It proves that an armed officer can help limit the body count, but it obviously doesn't stop the shooting. Also, this kid could have done more damage if he wanted. It appears the female victim was his only target.
