Another mass shooting......so why are people going crazy?

Not a discussion on gun control.
My question is why are people going nuts?
I think it’s because we’ve never been so divided and I lived through and remember vividly the Vietnam war and the protests of the sixties.
But it seems the division is much worse today. Call it right vs. left or whatever you want to call it.....but I’ve never seen the vitriol or hatred between Americans that I’m seeing today in my lifetime.
There is no more talking. There is no more reasoning. In politics the other side is the enemy of the people. Cancel Culture and ‘Woke’ and ‘peaceful’ rioting is in full swing. Constant day after day after day of protesting. Men are no longer men and women are no longer women. News coverage is nothing but bad news 24/7. News coverage has become ‘outrage’ coverage. Depending which news network you land on.....the other side is the enemy of the United States and all of mankind.
There certainly is no journalism of any kind anymore. It’s ALL propaganda. I know a journalism professor in Kentucky. At an LSU tailgate two years ago I asked him why in the hell is journalism even being taught anymore. His response, “I have no idea.”
Maybe it’s one of those situations where it’s going to be worse before it gets better, like the situation in this country before the Civil War.
But one thing is for sure, it sure sucks right now in the United States.

Thank your news medias for creating news instead of simply reporting the facts.
There is an agenda to be pushed, and the democrats create the message, and the MSM pushes it to the masses.

Honestly it’s all vitriol in the internet world. In my day to day life of being in public, it’s been fine. The machine that is social media and the news fuels the hatred because it’s prints money.

We live in a rat race society. Not to mention animals do weird things when overpopulation starts happening. I’m sure you’ve all heard about hamsters eating their young if they believe they won’t have enough food to feed them.

Its all fine until it isn’t. Its so easy for the government to turn us against one another. Covid is a good example. All they had to do was give people a reason to exercise their own superiority over others via mask mandates and social distancing.
When those in power want you to feel the sting of what has really been going on in this country they will, and it will be too late for us to do anything about it. Until then they are fine letting us live in our little bubbles of denial.

The entire 24/7 sensational news cycle, social media, and echo chambers are driving us apart.
Stop watching it. Take breaks from all social media. Get out of political groups. Your life will be much less stressful.

But can you actually do this and lead a normal life? What if you own a business that gets burned down in a riot? Or you’re the victim of a mass shooting or get beaten in a riot?
Maybe you’ve got a much better chance to live this way in the rural areas but it could get crazy enough to reach even those people eventually.

Lol only people like you who watch the news and get on Facebook 24/7 believe in this fearporn bullshite spewed from each side always claiming we need to do something before it’s “too late.” I’ve ignore politics and gone about my merry way for the last 30 years. My life has minimally changed aside from the screaming retards on either side of the political spectrum.

I think so...local still covers national news, just without the following 12 hours of forced narratives displayed on the 24 hour news networks.

I see everything going on today in America as a spiritual problem. The political polarizing of America can be attributed to it, as oil and water simply don’t mix, as well as the hedonism and incredible moral decay, the killings, and the general coldness in which people treat each other all can be traced to a lack of Christ in America today. Even the churches are messed up, preaching selfishness, and more than anything just not standing against it and being vocal about it. Money has taken on a greater importance than God, and that’s the real root of the problem IMHO, for when the salt has lost its saltiness, it serves no purpose.
This country needs a revival worse than any time it’s ever needed real revival. It needs purpose, a greater purpose for living than self alone. When this country can say, as in the song “Hurt” that you can have all this kingdom of dirt and mean it, then it will begin to heal. IOW, when we can look at all of our material possessions and just see dirt rather than trophies and riches worthy of sacrificing one’s soul for we will have turned a corner. Stuff simply isn’t making anyone happy.

if we read the news and get absorbed with it, yes America sucks, it's caving in on itself. I do understand what you're saying

Agenda driven politics shoved down American throats by the media. It’s pretty simple. You are witnessing the biggest power play in history..... Packing the Supreme Court, attempting to repeal the electoral college, paying people in perpetuity through assistance checks for kids, making everything racist, vilifying police..... pay attention.

Social creatures have had social interactions shut down or severely limited in certain spots for over a year.
We also have the internet that allows you to find whatever community you want to, and I mean that in a bad way.
