Annual Great Coot Migration likely begins next week

Wildlife biologists think the big cold front next week will likely trigger the annual coot migration across Midwest and upper southern forests next week. It’s as close as we get in the Americas to the annual migrations across the Serengeti. Always look forward to seeing thousands of the little guys waddle under the deer stand….

They're cool birds, but the terrible disease they carry and transmit has been a plague upon children for decades on end.
