I stand with ABinbev. The always discerning macro shite beer drinker deserves to know the truth about their product choices.

No corn, but that rice sure is an essential ingredient for a quality brew...

I still can’t believe they couldn’t think of anything else other than “annoying and overplayed dilly dilly people, but this time they talk about corn syrup.” Cause people who drink Bud Light are consistently concerned about whether or not their beer is made with fricking corn syrup. It’s all I overhear in bars nowadays.

Everyone in the midwest drinks Busch Light (which has corn in it) anyway.

This is all so dumb.

ETA: this does bring up a good point about how simple minded people can be. Bud Light commercials are about a singular beer (Bud Light), but then that gets expanded to Anheuser-Busch/inBev as a whole which has an entire portfolio of beers, plenty of which have corn syrup in them

There is nothing to apologize for.

WTH is wrong with today's times.

Some people may want to avoid corn syrup, my goodness.

Frick the corn industry. Ethanol sucks. Carbs suck. Iowa running our presidential elections sucks.

I agree, but Ted Cruz, kind of debunked the whole Ethanol holding us hostage. We just need politicians with nuts to keep pushing the topic.

AB uses corn syrup in 20 or so of their other drinks. Yeast doesn't care if the sugar comes from corn or rice. They'll eat it and shite out alcohol all the same. Rice is used in bud light because it has less flavor than corn syrup, but even corn ferments almost all the way out with little to no flavor contributions.

Exactly. Beer ingredients (and nutrition facts) have been largely hidden from consumer. It'll matter to some, won't matter to a lot. To act as if this is some assault on the corn industry is laughable. It was just highlighting that Bud Light (that singular light beer) is different than Miller Lite and Coors light (those singular beers)

Sometimes I buy a 15 pack of Natural Ice for 7.99

Sometimes I buy one 20 dollar bottle of Belgian beer.

We are not all alike!

I hear you, man. I'll put down 6 or 10 silver bullets on the golf course with no guilt or shame.

Or Bud Light or Miller Lite if that's what they have.
