I kinda had the opposite experience. I guy I knew lived with his mom, never knew anything about the dad. In high school, his mom came out as gay and had a live in girlfriend. This was 1990 or so so things were different then. We kinda picked with him a tiny amount, it was a sensitive topic and no one really knew how to act. He didn't change much, still in to low rider trucks and boom boom car stereo equipment. It was was much different just an elephant in the room situation sometimes or when gay jokes were made.
I don't know, my opinion is that 2 loving, successful parents is much better than 1. I'm not pro-gay, but more gay apathetic. Whatever man, teach your kid to be a benefit to society and I think it's a win for all. That's all that really matters to me personally, at least.
For the record, I really dislike Anderson Cooper and think he's a political hack and a disgrace for a journalist, but that's not what's in question here. He'll make more money this year than I will in the next 20.

Listened to an interview of him on Stern a while back and he claims he didn't want to inherit any of his mother's money when the passed away. I'm sure he's made plenty on his own but I wouldn't imagine anything close to the Vanderbilt fortune. While he said he wasn't inheriting her money he sounded like he didn't want his step brother's to get it either.

Just another liberal that tells people like myself that I am wrong in my beliefs but yet his life has been easy street. I am sure he got his job at CNN from his good looks and his hard work.

My friends in the SF bay area talk about gay dads and how clueless they tend to be. I feel for some of these kids. This one's "mom" was turned out by his mom's pedophile buddies from the fashion industry, so he's got that plus all of the mental illnesses associated with liberal aristocracy.
