You must be familiar with Jordan Peterson's work. These are his beliefs about where all this SJW crap is coming from and it's pretty scary. Some might view this as another moral panic but I trust someone who's been in academia for decades.

Another example of "I'm oppressed too" is the ever-lengthening LGBTQRSTUV+ boxcar train.

He's great. He's warning everyone of what's coming if we don't pump the breaks. The guy spent 40 years studying the USSR and he knows the tactics. I'm happy he's finally getting good publicity and not cowering to the leftist mafia.

Enough is broad. Do you hate other professions who have "done enough" to you? What about teachers? I'm sure you weren't a model student. That mindset is pretty self explosive and can lead to later run ins with law enforcement. I hope you meet enough good cops to change your opinion, honestly

My idea is to first find the driving force behind the mindset. I think this mindset is a negative that separates the person from modern reality. From there, we need to find a way to break it. In this sense, I don't mean brain wash, but instead, find the good things in their life and build off of that. Whether they are a good athlete or smart or good with their hands.

Overall, help people appreciate the good they have in their lives, and to spend less time focusing on the bad or perceived bad

LOL. Though this thread isn't political, this made my entire day.

Why are people urging to be oppressed, when they've never been oppressed before?

because they are unhappy with how their life turned out.

they want as many people to be unhappy with them

You could ask the same of any criminal...

Just saying...

Selectively quoting a passage is just as good as putting words into somebody's mouth.

You directly contradicted yourself. I don't know what to tell you. It doesn't read like you think it reads.

Asking why people born in this country and have friends and family here don't up and leave is a legit question?

Apparently you both are underestimating how hard relocating to another country is.

Social media created an atmosphere where social outcasts believed their support was greater than it seemed

When someone says this is the worst place on earth and we're what's wrong with the world yet they stay here, it makes me question just how much they really mean what they say.

Case in point - celebrities claiming to move if Trump wins. Those people have the means to move anywhere in the world but they didn't. That's because they know they've got it better here than anywhere else on earth.

Bullying, in moderation, is a good thing.

I agree with this point of view. Especially the celebrity aspect

That's a small fraction of the entire question

I don't think you really understand what AA folks are upset about. In this day and age it doesn't have a lot to do with slavery. More so, the systemic issues we face as a country when it comes to drug laws, private prisons, etc

I don't think it's the worst place in the world in any sense. But for some people to say it's the best often do so blindly, without having any idea as to what exactly we lead the world in.
