I know it probably wouldnt help but why not spread some pesticide in the streets of the fq where they are congregating? Seems like we could knock the population down
The streets of the quarter are finally clean and you want to leave the stench and visual of thousands of rat bodies everywhere?

And those choices are grim. They include cannibalism, rat battles and infanticide.

Wonder if any "rat battles" have been videoed and put on You Tube?

There are some excellent videos on Youtube of rat traps where the rats get electrocuted (when they go to get the food, it closes the circuit and it zaps their arse). This would be even better than rat poison. You could set up a few of those on every street and kill hundreds in one night.

I used to read books as a kid about evil rat army's terrorizing friendly woodland creatures.

"What we have seen is these practices are driving our rodents crazy," Mayor LaToya Cantrell said at a news conference late last month. "And what rodents do, they will find food, and they will find water. That puts our street homeless in dire, dire straits. And that's why I'm so laser-focused on it right now."

the article basically says they are or planning to do this in NO.

Claudia Riegel, director of the New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board, told The Times-Picayune newspaper that the city is preparing aggressive pest control measures.
"These rats are hungry, so we want them to eat our bait," she said, adding that the city is "going to put a lot of pressure for at least the next month" until the population decreases.

Is there some way to create a new TV show that chronicles these Rat Wars? People would watch that.

I smell a wonderful way for the sports betting world and ESPN to make a killing right now.
