I went to shoal creek for a saints game and it was awesome.
The Saints contingent there has been pretty good. I'll be there on Sunday for the game, although chances are I'll storm out early in the 3rd.

I think the new place for LSU games is Shiner Saloon. I haven't been there yet but I might check it out for the game tomorrow.
Shoal Creek was great for the Wisconsin opener - big showing, well organized, but since then it's dwindled as the season fell apart. I'm thinking about checking out a new place NOT called Lavaca st bar. I'll check out Shiners soon.

I'm so glad I parked down there for $15 bucks only to walk up to a red & white decked out line wrapped around the block and an inflatable Badger out front. Geaux tigers!

Ok I'll take your word for it now.
I braved that Badger crowd. I will not go quietly into the night, I will not vanish with out a fight. I'm going to live on!

Austin is a cool town. However, if you have to live way out in the suburbs Austin quickly begins to look like Houston or Dallas. Heck, the judgemental map doesn't even extend out to some of the burbs in the south on TX-1 (Davis, Will Cannon, Escarpment).

Go live in Horseshoe Bay, drive into Austin when you wanna partake.

I'm from Austin. But honestly I'd prefer to be in San Antonio and Dallas

my favorite thing about Austin is the 130 loop.
Loop? What's that?

More San Antonio though......but between the 2 it's a solid population corridor.. ..

Some are calling it residential segregation allegedly.. Like If you earn less than something ridiculous it's like impossible to have a house there and their city council and city hall wouldn't have it any other way. Republicans you'd think? Actually its Democrats

I have family in Austin and have visited many times and I love the city. For years I was planning my escape from Louisiana to Austin, but then met my SO and that put an end to that. May be a good thing, because if I lived near a Torchys Tacos I'd weigh 500 pounds

Nashville is getting there. Its insane.
Austin is doubling us. We are about 1500 families a month to the greater Nashville area. Austin gets the wack jobs from the west coast, we get the more conservative folks, which is fine by me.

Meanwhile Fort Worth stays pretty cool with nobody noticing, which is going to keep it cool longer.
If you move to DFW, by all means move to the D part.
