Far and away, people from the NE are the biggest true racist I have ever met.

If black people were subjected to some of the things I heard from black people when I lived in La they would have wanted the entire state nuked.

The funny thing about these articles is that white people in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama etc probably have more interactions with black people in 2 weeks than this author does in 2 years. It seems like we'd be hearing about racist hate crimes on a daily basis.

Although it was in the 1990's, the most racist Marines that I knew were from Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

It actually is California.

But the methodology is stupid. They count the number of hate groups rather than the membership, and they appear to be saying fewer racist tweets = more racism.

Does the actual voting irregularities matter?

What irregularities? Precincts routinely vote 105% of their voter roles with every vote going to the D candidate after polling hours close. There is nothing irregular about it. Stop asking questions.

Just wanted to say that I’m on Twitter a lot and I wanted to apologize for Louisiana’s rating.

That’s mostly coming from me.

I wonder if they relied on the Southern Poverty Law Center for their hate group data.

Definitely an MSN-quality, click-bait survey.

I don’t know how much I believe the accuracy of these “racist tweets”.

What do they consider a "hate group" and who decides this?

Who knows, but I'm sure members of 'black Twitter' and these folks aren't on the list...

Yet whites are more than 6x more likely to be the victim of an interracial crime than the other way around but those are never counted as hate crimes much less the victims of the knockout game. Let's not forget the black on Asian crime.

So the states with the most culcha and folks that have to deal with it every day are the most racist against said culcha? I’m shocked.

I have met a lot of racist arse black people though

What a bizarre thing to insert the word “arse” in the middle of a sentence.

When I was a kid, I thought by now racism would be an afterthought. I never thought the world would be like it is today.

I need a list of hate groups. Who’s in charge? Where and how do you sign up?

It says gate groups but it is hate against whites or just random groups that hate other races?

I thought removing all those statues in New Orleans and other areas of the state was gonna stop the hate crimes and crimes in general. What happened?

Gonna have some bruised egos here on the OT. There are some really racist mofos on this site.

I think it depends on where you live, to an extent. Where we leave, I don't see or sense a lot of racism, as the minorities in this area are solid middle to upper class, for the most part. My wife's hometown, on the other hand (and likely much like a lot of rural LA), they're considerably more racist but are dealing with a ton of minorities in very poor financial straits (and all that goes along with that (crime, drugs, welfare, schools suck, etc.)). Of course, the whites are mostly poor and trashy too, but they don't talk as much about that.
