I've always wondered. How do they get these statistics? It's not as if they go around weighing everyone. Gathering strictly from doctor's visits wouldn't be an accurate stat due to the fact that fat people may go to the doctor more than healthy folks.

I travel quite a bit and it’s easy to recognize flights going home by the herd of white fatties at the gate.
