That was before they bought a quarter million more on Black Friday.

Honestly, I think the ammunition figure is way low.

Rates of firearm ownership and gun sales are on the rise despite calls for gun control, according to a report released Wednesday by the Firearms Industry Trade Association (FITA).

Using the most recent data from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF’s) Annual Firearms Manufacturing and Export Reports (AFMER) to draw its conclusions, FITA’s report stated there are 422.9 million firearms in civilian possession from 1986 to 2018, along with an estimated 8.1 billion rounds of various firearms calibers and gauges.

The report also noted that in a 25 year period between 1993 and 2017, the violent crime rate has dropped by 48.6 percent while firearms-related accidents have decreased by 68 percent.

Truly a sad statistic

I yearn and hope like Isaiah for the day when our weapons are transformed into creative, life-giving instruments:

And the Lord shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Looks like they’re ignoring the string of boating accidents losses over the last few years.

The truly sad statistic is the number of your ilk still thieving oxygen and wasting resources.

Don't want a gun? Don't buy one. Gun owners have no problem with you decision not to own a firearm.

Don't try to prevent us, or attempt to stand in sanctimonious judgement of our Constitutional Right to own said firearms.

The Constitution is a human document that grants rights to humans as dictated by humans. Duty and obligation , however, always proceed rights. Rights mean nothing without them.

Love this little gem from Weil:

The notion of obligations comes before that of rights, which is subordinate and relative to the former. A right is not effectual by itself, but only in relation to the obligation to which it corresponds, the effective exercise of a right springing not from the individual who possesses it, but from other men who consider themselves as being under a certain obligation towards him. Recognition of an obligation makes it effectual. An obligation which goes unrecognized by anybody loses none of the full force of its existence. A right which goes unrecognized by anybody is not worth very much.

It makes nonsense to say that men have, on the one hand, rights, and on the other hand, obligations. Such words only express differences in point of view. The actual relationship between the two is as between object and subject. A man, considered in isolation, only has duties, amongst which are certain duties towards himself. A man left alone in the universe would have no rights whatever, but he would have obligations.

By the way, why bring such a charged subject to the OT, a place of pilgrimage to the Prince of Peace. It’s clear you want a fight, which isn’t surprising since you’re likely handling and cleaning your instrument as though it were an extension of your sex defining organ.

My family didn’t help found this great nation so entitled victims like you could abuse its laws and liberties. You would do well to spend the rest of the day dwelling on your duties and obligations to this world.

Wrong. The rights inherent in the Bill of Rights are either natural rights or God given (depending on your preference). Everyone is born with them. Inalienable.
Our Founding documents simply attempt to keep government from unnaturally depriving us of those rights.

Read a book (A fact based one. With honest and accurate citations)

The contemporaneous bodies of work surrounding those documents are far more intelligent and better written than any of the academic gibberish written in the last 30 or so years.

Okay, you sanctimonious cocksucker. Let me explain some things to your sorry arse.

My direct ancestors arrived in 1625 on my maternal side and 1640 on the paternal side. Except the ones from my paternal grandmother's people who were here to greet the boats.

We didn't build this country and fight in every single war that has came down the pike from Revolutionary War on (you're welcome). So that mealy-mouthed shite stains like you and your family could come through Ellis Island and dictate what freedoms the rest of us can have.

You may want to read the document you are talking about.

The rights enumerated in the founding documents are "Natural rights" they are yours no matter what. They are not provided by the government they are PROTECTED by the government.

"Natural rights are rights granted to all people by nature or God that cannot be denied or restricted by any government or individual. Natural rights are often said to be granted to people by “natural law.”

You are referencing "legal rights". These are completely different.

Legal rights are rights granted by governments or legal systems. As such, they can also be modified, restricted or repealed. In the United States, legal rights are granted by the legislative bodies of the federal, state and local governments.

The rights listed in the Bill of Rights are not legal rights, they are Natural Rights.

Who is the sanctimonious one now? Might want to read a little bit before you preach to us knuckle draggers about freedom.

Yep! I lost everything but one .25 caliber semi-auto in a similar accident. Damn shame.

This is why I always felt like The Walking Dead was BS. Ammo and gun shortage? Come on. Once you figure out a head shot kills a zombie, everyone alive would wipe out the zombies with a quickness. But hey let’s not overthink it.

Kind of like liberals once they get the Civil War II they seem to crave so much.
