McDonalds holds a special place in my 11 year old heart. Now I'm an adult and other than satisfying some random french fry cravings I've not eaten there in 20 years. But I think the chicken places are hurting the burger fast food places more than my refined palette.

When we are around a McDonald’s we’ll stop and get a dozen regular hamburgers and bring them home and put cheese, tomato and whatever else we want on them then freeze what we don’t eat.

Less than 30 bucks and we like them. It’s cheaper than buying hamburger, buns, charcoal and such, or pretty much balances out.

Of course my wife loves the apple pies so we get some of those too.

We don’t have a McDonald’s close to here so we get plenty when we go there.

Jack in The Box has two jumbo Jack's for $5 on the app.

How does McDonalds beat that?

I have to confess.

I love the quarter pounders. Always have, always will. I know. I'm horrible. I can't help it. I love them.

McDonalds is not the best when it comes to app value.

Jesus Christ what a sad debate.

My fast food app is better then yours. LOL

Not a great burger, alight fries and good soft drinks. Certainly not the best meal but McDonalds is probably the most consistent fast food joint. When I am stuck in some small town in the middle of nowhere, they are my go to because I at least know what I am going to get.

‘Turning their backs’ ?? What McDonald’s serves isn’t even food.. it’s some sort of goop that looks nothing like the pictures on the menu board.. I haven’t eaten at a McDonalds in over 15 yrs , but even back then it was gross, and didn’t even fill you up, you were hungry again in 30 minutes.. at least when i was a very little kid in the early 1980s, what McDonalds served sort of resembled actual food (shout out to the McD L.T.)- but that hasn’t been the case for many many years .

will go to Chilis every time I can get a burger there for less than or the same as McDonalds. 3 for $10 (Drink, appetizer, meal) at Chilis is hard to beat.

And the food and atmosphere is much better at Chilis

Even if they were 30% cheaper…the quality of food for the money would still be terrible.

If you ever want McDonalds, just step inside one. It’s filthy and sad. You will not want to eat there anymore.

I just saw a commercial for Chili's on TV and word for word they were comparing this very deal to McDonalds.

Prices have increased by substantially more than the sales have dropped. Their profit per item is increasing and they don’t have to work as hard to sell one expensive item as compared to two inexpensive items.

I quit eating at McDonald's during the pandemic. There was TP shortage.
