There are fire arm law proposals; and then there are common sense fire arm law proposals. No one is ever going to come confiscate you’re 20 pistols or 4 shotguns, or 2 ARs.
What most people want is to limit capacity levels (mass killings) and better background checks (keep guns away from crazy/unfit people).
Most democrats (not all) want to keep their guns to. But they don’t want the unfit, drunk Billy Bob up the street to have his ARs to go on a spree when he gets laid off from the gas station. Or if I am being more precise, they don’t want the white nationalist gun-loving millennial to go on a spree.
