The AMA isn't even trying to hide their political slant these days. Amazing that they have gone from such a respected group to a bunch of political hacks in just a few years.

quote:

Structural racism could be a factor in mass shootings according to a recent study released in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Surgery Wednesday.

Researchers at Tulane University analyzed data of nearly 900 mass shooting events (MSEs) over 52 metropolitan areas from 2015 to 2019 compiled by the Gun Violence Archive. MSEs were defined as four or more people injured or killed, not including the shooter.

"This study found that major US cities with higher populations of Black individuals are more likely to be affected by MSEs, suggesting that structural racism may have a role in their incidence. Public health initiatives aiming to prevent MSEs should target factors associated with structural racism to address gun violence," the article, titled "Association Between Markers of Structural Racism and Mass Shooting Events in Major US Cities," read.

The study described structural racism as "the normalized and legitimized range of policies, practices, and attitudes that routinely produce cumulative and chronic adverse outcomes for people of color." It used measurements such as a Black-White segregation index, the Black percentage of a population and crime rates.

The mental gymnastics they perform here to avoid saying "young urban black males don't give a shite and shoot into crowds of people..." is pretty amazing.

Wait, because there’s a higher black population that means black on black crime= white mans fault? Isn’t that their utopia? No white people around just the culture??

Anything basketball Americans do that is negative is always attributed to racism, that’s how the agenda works. What is sad is that 1/3 or more of the population buys into it because they think it will benefit them or put them on the “right” side

And the proportion of black male doctors today is almost identical to what it was in 1900. Shame on the AMA and their structural racism holding black men back.

If this is the criteria, then the following statement is also true:

This study found that major US cities with higher populations of Black individuals are more likely to be affected by sickle cell anemia , suggesting that structural racism may have a role in their incidence.

The study also found that the sky was blue on a clear day, and that water is, in fact, wet.

Everything deleterious that's more likely to occur as the population of blacks go up must be deemed by the elite - and certainly by blacks themselves- as anything other than behavior inherent to blacks. We have surrendered our notions that there are general differences in behavior between races which are genetic in nature and have not only made conditions worse but amplified the false notion that Whites are at the heart of all bad things that happen to blacks. The basic argument goes "If you agree that there are no inherent, general differences between the races then any difference in life outcomes must be due to environment and it is Whites who have more money and power within that environment."

To put more simply, the only thing that occurs when Whites denounce racism is that blacks become more racist against them.

They have the problem staring them in the face and rather than acknowledge it, they say dumb shite like this. So, of course, everything will continue on the current trajectory and they can do more ridiculous studies like this in the future.

Aren't these places Democrat strongholds with decades of Democrat policies in place? If so, then I agree. Dems have always been the root of racism and intolerance in this country.

This is a strong study. I am hoping it leads to sufficient community investment. Smart boards in schools. Hearty breakfast for our young community scholars. Jobs for those who may have dropped out and have felony records. We can do this.

So a white a-hole kid shooting up a white school is racist against blacks and a sign of cultural racism..

Got it.

Thanks.
