American Bar Association drops LSAT requirement for Law School admissions

Law schools can still require it if they want, and this doesn't change any of the requirements for actually becoming an attorney. And for the record, there was never a minimum LSAT score; schools were simply required to force their applicants to take it and report their score.
This is a big nothingburger.
Eta: For those unaware, the LSAT isn’t a minimum competency exam. It’s an aptitude exam, like the ACT/SAT. There is no pass fail. There has never been anything stopping a law school from accepting someone who got, literally, every LSAT question wrong. All that was required was that the individual take the exam and report their score.
This is a big nothingburger.

Based on the countless affirmative action threads I’ve seen on this board, it seems like having to report LSAT scores hasn’t exactly been an impediment to giving admissions preference according to race. So what, in your opinion, does this change?

To be honest the lsat doesn’t have a single thing to do with practicing law. I’m ok with this.
I also wish the la bar association would go to a 2 year apprenticeship requirement in lieu of the bar. The bar has almost nothing to do with practicing law.
