And magic pills have never worked, the weight usually returns in a year or two.
We arent really making progress if no one is changing habits, just taking a magic pill.
Baby steps. It takes time to change culture and may even take a generation. If two obese parents can get on ozempic and completely change their eating habits, even if they have to stay on the drug for life, that could change the eating habits of their children and maybe they never get obese.
I can't figure out why people are so negative about these drugs. They appear to be life-changing miracle drugs that they are still discovering benefits for.
Will there likely be side affects? Yes. Virtually all drugs have them. But so far the side affects are minimal, especially when compared to obesity, heart disease, etc.

Louisiana is doing its part to keep it from falling faster.

If there is fat being excreted in higher than acceptable amounts it puts excess stress on the gall bladder.
I don't think Ozempic does that. From what I've read it slows down the digestive process, (sometimes causing constipation), and that slower process makes people feel full longer so they don't eat as much.

Because they replace the mechanism necessary to keep weight loss permanent.
Its a recipe for failure. Bad habits will continue.

Almost as if they planned for it to fail so that they can sell the next "wonderdrug." I just want Ephedra to be legal again.

Ozyempic is to fat people what "gear" is to bodybuilders.
"You natty, bro? Nah I'm hitting the zympic, baw."

If your body is rapidly decreasing its fat storage the fat isn't just disappearing and without exercise or dietary changes it certainly isn't even being processed via a natural pathway.
Whether due to a direct or indirect response, the gall bladder and pancreas are both being shown to be negatively impacted by Ozempic use, there are plenty of articles outlining some of the side effects.

A sucker is born every minute, its said.
Youre not free if youre using a drug to control your fat.
They banned all stimulants that people used to take to curb appetite and approved something possibly more dangerous.

Oh, Oh, Oh Ozempic!
You all know someone on it
This will be a 1 TRILLION dollar industry(just ozempic and other meds like it) most of their profits are in the US. Europe doesn't allow it to be used like we do.

The behemoths get ozempic, the thick gals shooting up are the ones taking very real risks to avoid living the right way.

Someone that is morbidly obese is already lost. Virtually none of them ever get to a healthy weight.
Being morbidly obese has 100 more side effects and potential health issues than any of the current weight loss drugs.
Why would you be against that?
There are lots of permanent drugs that people are on to maintain their health, from insulin to cholesterol drugs.

Pills give false hope.
That weight will return unless they actually change behaviors.

And is it better or worse than being morbidly obese?

If a 400-pounder loses 200 pounds, that is not "false hope". That is real.
And if he has to take a maintenance dose of Ozempic forever, so what?
That could have positive repercussions on generations of people. Perhaps his children won't be obese. Perhaps he starts exercising once he is not obese. These are good things.

Most modern medicine professionals and drug companies treat the symptoms and ignore the root causes, it’s way more profitable.

Perhaps some drugs do.
But obesity is caused by overeating. This particular drug causes you to eat less, so it actually treats the root cause.
