Additional Marshall Island witnesses reported the area where the plane landed was difficult to access by boat due to coral.

To remove it, a barge was brought in and beached. According to witnesses, the plane was then carted across the beach and loaded onto the barge. The barge was then towed behind the Koshu Maru.

If the pic happens to reflect the Koshu Maru towing a barge with a plane on it, other similarities are worth exploring.

The picture is not just a random pic of people on a warf. The location has been verified as a dock in Jabor Island in the Jaluit Atoll. The photo is stamped by the Office of Naval Intelligence to identify that as the location. I have looked, but have not found anyone disputing that the ship is the Koshu Maru. It appears the ship in the pic is towing a barge with what might be a plane on it.

Much of these witness accounts and many others have been around for decades. It appears they have not gotten much attention because it doesn't match the official version.

I wonder how much of this the new Japanese government may be willing to research and reveal, since the old regime has no connection to the new regime.

FWIW the US and Japan had relatively friendly relations at the time. Just a couple of years earlier Lindbergh had made an unscheduled landing on Japanese territory due to bad weather and was given a hero's welcome. Japanese military and civilian interests had been notified by higher authority of Earhart's disappearance and directed to conduct a rescue if possible. The Japanese ship purported to be in the photo was several hundred miles away at the time it was supposedly taken.

Also, the Coast Guard radioman who did most of the communicating with Earhart stated that she was haphazard about conducting radio checks and was nearly in a panic after becoming lost. I love me a good conspiracy theory but there doesn't seem to be much here.

Hitler didn't bury the treasure at Oak Island, he FOUND the treasure at Oak Island (that's why the idiots on History Channel never find anything there). He wanted to unite it with his other relics including part of the Spear of Destiny. However, once war had broken out in Europe, he was never able to recover the treasure despite having solved the issue of the booby traps. Part of his deal with the government to live out his retirement in Glacier Park was to turn over this information to the government, who then secretly extracted the treasure, moving it to its secret resting place in Glacier National Park along with tons of stolen Nazi Art and loot.

Is it authentic? Well, it's a copy from the National Archives. So probably.

The message clearly says that the Japs know the US is looking for her in the area of the Marshall Islands and that the Japanese goal was to prevent US ships from coming too close to the island.

People supporting the official version say Earhart would have never been in the area of the Marshall Islands because it was not near her flight path. This document raises the possibility that this last leg of her flight might have been in part to surveil the Marshal Islands under the guidance of government officials.
