Supposedly it's possible to return Amazon purchases to Kohls dept stores.

Never tried it.

Used to love going in the car stereo and speaker room and wishing I was old enough to drive so I could get that kickass Pioneer

It'll never happen at my current job. I'm surprised I'm still home although I was back in the office 2 days per week for about a month. I got sent back home when the cases started going back up.

I have noticed during all of this that 75% of my clothes are for the office.

The case study should be required reading for any business student.

I mean Sears Roebuck was Amazon 100+ years before Amazon was ever thought of. They had everything Amazon built in place: warehouses, a vast workforce, access and at times ownership of railyards for shipping, a great relationship with the USPS and other delivery services, customer support for ordering, actual manufacturing plants, one of the first online presences, and brick and mortar stores.

They had everything except competent upper management and leadership.

Very familiar and I have many fond memories of browsing The Big Book for Xmas gifts.

When I was a kid, Sears had a "catalog pick up" place in Kenner. You could go there and pick up your catalog items which woudl be shipped to this location instead of your house. I think if you did this the shipping was free.

It was "ship to store" 25 years before other companies did it (except it didn't go to the actual store, it just went to this place).

I did think that putting AMAZON returns centers in Kohl’s was a good idea though... very easy. I just dropped it off at the kiosk and they packaged it and returned it for free...

I know! The looks I get from the employees when I return leather gimp masks and butt plugs are priceless.

The Sears in Lafayette had ship to store service. They even had designated parking spots right by the door. Eerily similar to how the Wal-Mart pickup parking is done.

frick Amazon. I’d rather support the local mom
and pop places. And if I am in a mall, I’d rather support a specialized store. If I want an appliance, I’ll go to an appliance store. If I want electronics, I’ll check out an electronics store. I’m so sick of Bezos taking over. I’m all for capitalism, I just am not a fan of his personally.

If Walmart is focusing online then they need to fix their website. I honestly don’t understand how one of the biggest corporations in America has a website as bad as Walmart

Saw this the other day.

It reminded me of that chick in 40 Year Old Virgin who had a storefront for her shite, but you still had to buy online.

Walmart has the upper hand long term IMO. As delivery systems become more and more instant Walmart is sitting with stores that will be converted into delivery distribution centers in every town in America. Amazon is trying to play catch up.

We have one at palm beach gardens mall. Can’t wait to check it out. Seems like a good premise for an Amazon store, having a bunch of highly rated products.

Csb: saw Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky walking through that mall about two years ago.
