Depends on your TV. All "smart TV" interfaces are not the same
Mine has Android TV which has an Prime TV app and voice controls. Therefore FireStick provides no benefit
Some Smart TV might not have a prime video app which means you lose access to Amazon's original TV content.

its really just become a marketing ploy to lure in trial memberships in hopes they stick around once they get a look at all of the prime content vs. an actual membership benefit.
