RBC noted that 15 U.S. states still don't have access to Amazon's same-day or next-day delivery, so the company will have to spend more heavily to reach those areas.
Louisiana continues to buck the E-commerce trend thanks to our unfriendly business tax structure and ground breaking infrastructure.

How the hell cant it reach Memphis within the day being FedEx’s Headquarters? It used to be technically the busiest airport in the United States thanks to FedEx. It can make it to fricking Midland and Amarillo in 24 hours and not Memphis? I find that hard to believe.

One day Louisiana won’t be on the bottom half of states to receive access to new technologies and conveniences.

They deliver to us by pirogue

Even Florida Man is going to get his butt plugs before anyone in LA.

Probably has more to do with legal nonsense than the actual logistics of it

Map can not be accurate
With major UPS hub in Louisville
Major Amazon in Lexington (one of the first back in the early 90's)
Prime fleet on the old LexMark property
I have seen Amazon make deliveries in CKY in just a few hours

Shreveport can't get stuff in one day and Marshall Texas can. What are they, 30 miles away from each other?

Map is janky but the numbers below show that areas still have next day. I'm in rural Illinois and get next day. I believe the second or third post questioned Memphis which I'm sure has it since STL has an Amazon hub. Just like Missouri too would be covered from that location. Out west, I'm sure it takes a few days, but even still I'm sure it's pretty reasonable with California and other states with hubs nearby.

Only when Texas annexes it

The have and have not economy is directly conditioned on access to fast and reliable internet today. There are large areas of Louisiana that don’t have cell, broadband, or cable access today. Can’t build a guarantee when your vehicles can’t communicate with the distribution center.

Speaking for all residents of states like Alabama and Louisiana, we should get discounts on our Amazon prime membership fees

Instead of being Amazon Prime you can be Amazon USDA Choice

Class Action time and it’s cleearly discriminatory because they are only focusing on wealthy people while the Poors are left to pay more for services they can’t get.

How can they have a distribution center in BR and not be able to cover Louisiana (or at least south Louisiana) in one day?

It's comparatively small to most. It's actually a damn tent right now but they are building a permanent building across the street

From what I've seen in ATL, most of the same/next day deliveries are done by Amazon Logistics not UPS/FedEx. What I find funny is that usually the Amazon Logistics stuff is coming from Chattanooga to deliver to my house.
I can't even remember the last time I've seen FedEx deliver an Amazon package and I get 5-10 packages a month.
Amazon would want to use their own shipping for something like same/next day which would be very expensive with another carrier for last mile delivery.

It's not really hard when you have the distribution.
