I was wondering the same thing. I’ve ordered 2-3 things during this Covid situation, I have Prime, yet all of the purchases took over a week to arrive. What’s the point of paying for Prime but getting regular delivery?

Dude, distribution centers had to close due to infections. At the same time they had an influx of orders because of all the people who stayed home from shopping and going to work. That causes a pretty severe back log. You’ll get your butt plugs in soon enough.

I was thinking over the weekend about how long Amazon was going to milk this before they start giving credits or have people cancel Prime.

I don’t like it as much as you do.
And I live in Houston. So I typically get 2 day items within 2 days, but sometimes don’t. It’s frustrating, but the only way they’ll get the message is if people stop signing up for Prime.
....which I’m not sure will matter.

Mine aren't showing up late, but some are taking 4-5+ days (and that's the estimate when ordering) since COVID began.
A lot of times it'll tell me a week and it'll be here in 1-2 days, however.

I will say that it takes being selective on which item/listing you purchase.
Last week I was looking to buy two things. Both had multiple listings. Some of those had an estimated delivery date of a week and a half. Others had the usual two day Prime delivery date. It took searching through listings, but I managed to get both. Both items ended up being shipped from an Amazon warehouse only an hour and a half away.
So, if you're lucky, the item you want will already be at the closest warehouse. It seems that they are only making limited, bulk shipments of non-essential items to their warehouses. If your order comes in between those shipments, you're shite out of luck and will be waiting.
I've had one item take longer than a a few days. It ended up being around 10 days.

I order from Amazon ALOT. I have had some items take longer than expected, but overall... service has been good considering.

If you live in the Baton Rouge area, the culprit may be the God-awful UPS center in Port Allen rather than Amazon. They are absolutely worthless and have lost several packages that I sent to my folks in BR over the past couple of years. They also changed the delivery date on a couple of packages and said that I authorized it. Turns out that the lazy drivers didn’t want to deliver the packages, so they disappeared. I contacted Amazon and they made it right. I haven’t had any package deliveries delayed to me in Austin though.

Pay attention to the guaranteed delivery date when you order. It's not hard. If it says tomorrow, it'll be there. If it says next week, it'll be there by then.

Prime was fantastic from about 2007-2014. It is a shell of its former self.

Ah the weekly I didnt receive my package in 2 days from Prime Post.Just be like me and live in a city where they have a distribution center and still get packages in a few days without even being a amazon prime customer
