Hates tourists.

Lives in a major tourist and convention town.

Goes online to complain about his choices.

???????

Profit?

I thinks not.

I don't hate it, but it's a pain in a lot of ways. More now with the route changes and the way they are stacking the parades up.
I used to get gone, but it's not as easy now.

I am a NIMBY type during Mardi Gras. It's perfectly fine.....unless it causes me trouble

I lived at Marengo and St Charles. Upon learning I lived in N.O., my out of state friends and business clients would frequently ask, "Do you go to Mardi Gras?" My response was always, "No, Mardi Gras comes to me."

It's a pain in the arse on the week nights when you just want to get home, but it's a blast (albeit, also bigger pain in the arse) on weekend.

There's a whole lot of truth in here - every single thread started is a bunch of old man bitching and moaning. Really starting to become a recognizable poster, which isn't a good thing.

Nope, I'm there with you. Much prefer the Cajun Courir de Mardi Gras en Acadie. The creole version of Mardi Gras has been hijacked and the little bit that remains isn't worth the time to go see unless you have reserved a hotel room in the quarter.

Negative. I'm about ten years older and not nearly as pretty as that serial rapist.

Have been in 2 of the 4 homes on that corner. Always been a great area for MG if you're so inclined.

I'm only 21 and I like to party, but Mardi Gras isn't that appealing to me. I'd rather go on a fishing trip or something.

I didn't care all that much for it until I moved away. Now it's my favorite vacation.

I'm 37.

My biggest issue with Mardi Gras is all of my friends suddenly becoming entitled to bedspace at my house for one or two selected weekends per year.

One of my friends called and asked if he could bring four people down with him from D.C.
