You'll probably get an email in 4-6 weeks saying "come back and try us out again for $30 for 6 months!"

I just recently renewed at the cheap rate and had no problems, but I called.

Sirius XM has some shady billing practices. Not a fan of conducting business with them.

That being said, when I had it, I only renewed at a discount rate. I would not pay anywhere near full price. The problem is that I still don't think it's worth the discounted rate.

I think they are getting good subscription numbers and aren't have to bribe people as much.

I've never tried it. I know everyone here does it so easily, but I've been paying $32/mth for 2 vehicles for over 4 years now.

ETA - all I really listen to is their sports talk radio, but I can't get it a la carte.

I tried on chat to get the lower rate but they wouldn't do it. I called yesterday and got 6 months for $30.

Seriously? 3 months ago my subscription was running out and I didn't respond to any mailers or email offers. At the end of each month I get an email from Sirius saying that my service has been extended for another month at no expense

Same thing here, no offer available she said so I cancelled both vehicles. Then she says I owe $34.00 for services not yet received?? I said no want, cancel me and I am not paying for any service not yet received whatever that is. During the chat, you can request to have a text copy of what was said emailed to you which I did. Then when they called trying to collect the $34, I read back the text of the chat which the rep can look at as well and that ended that. Three weeks later the offer of 6/$30 came via email so I renewed. They are horrible to deal with,I agree.

I’ve tried that a few times and they always called my bluff with them and Cox. I legit called to cancel cox about six months ago and when they asked why I told them I was cutting the cord and wanted to ditch cable altogether. They doubled my internet speed and kept virtually everything the same except for premium channels for $89 a month. So I kept cable

I’m still paying $30/month for 2 cars.

My son never uses it in his - he always plays his music through his phone playlist or whatever. My wife and I use just a handful of channels despite paying for all of them. I’m just too lazy to change it. Last time I went online and paid the bill, I saw that I could just pick the few channels we listen to and pay a much cheaper rate without even needing any “special” deals. Eventually I’ll get around to changing it.
