why would you ask someone to a game with an 8:15 kick off if you knew they didn't care about the game? you knew it was going to be late AF getting out of there, should have asked someone who wanted to be there in the first place.

OHHH you left your FIL in the tunnel, walked back up to your spot, turned your phone off, then stayed the rest of the game b/c you knew he couldn't go get you.

WOW you're a dipshit. fck you. and you're trying to feel better?
Yea, if that's the case, all bets are off, he fricked up.

I read it the opposite way, like Gramps was in the seats, and he was just hiding out watching somewhere else.

If he left Gramps in the tunnel, then yea, he's obviously a jerk...unless Gramps was causing a scene and making it a really big ordeal about wanting to leave early, then I can maybe let it slide.

My wife invited them. It was suppose to be me and my friend( ole miss fan). Since she was having her baby shower, she decided to make it a guys day. I didn’t know till it was too late.

I dont blame you. When you're struggling financially its not often you get to go to a ballgame and spend money on entertainment. Your in-laws should have had more self-awareness and passed on the opportunity to go.

Sure, but I think the real question should be directed at Gramps to ask why would he accept the tickets and go to a game he knows he's not interested, then turn around and ask the ticketholder who graciously invited you to leave early.

I don't even like watching the game at home with someone not interested in the game, much less take them to TS with me

And I knew it, that's why I asked.

Your OP said the tickets were yours and you "decided" to take Gramps.

But actually, the wife got tickets for you and Gramps, in which case, this wasn't really your night, and he was tagging along. That changes things a bunch here.

left his half-crippled FIL to fend for himself so he could post on the rant "I STAY'D FAR THE HOLE GAME"

what if something would have happened to the old man, and no one could reach OP by phone? and OP is about to be responsible for a child?

Ahhh, so the OP's wife is a pregnant stripper that has to have her baby shower at 830 pm because she works the B-team afternoon shift....

Makes sense given his poor grammar and poor financial situation.

Thanks that was my feeling. My dad who I grew up going to games agreed with me except for the leaving him in the tunnel. He said I should of just said I’m staying.

This is all starting to make sense. I was under the impression he, his wife and in-laws all went to the game together.

So did you and the FIL speak at all on the way home?
