I was talking to my wife and she said her dad want to smoke but ran out of cigarets. I remember we had to stop but that’s why he wanted to leave and felt it was a blow out I’d leave.

I'm not really clear on what happened here, but if your wife is close to her father, you'd better work on being a good son-in-law or your life is going to get pretty hard and miserable.
I think you said you turned off your phone so your fil couldn't call you, but you also said you have a pregnant wife. Turning off your phone isn't a good idea, but you weren't thinking about her, apparently. You were thinking about yourself.
