But I finally drove one and it had lots of tire noise and had numb steering.

I see the 2025 is 4 inches longer and the wheelbase is also 4 inches longer.

For those that know, will this make for a smooth ride..I don't do trails often..

Longer wheelbases usually result in a smoother ride. That being said, if you’re looking for smooth, why are you looking at a 4Runner?

It’s for people who should be driving minivans but they think they’ll look cool in a 4Runner.

lol! Are you serious Clark?!? The 4Runner is a durable body-on-frame suv. If you’re bitching about the ride, get a damn crossover.

Road noise depends a lot on the tires.

Isn't the 4runner an SUV on a Tundra chassis?

I had a 2012 and it drove like a station wagon. A set of Bilstein 5100’s and AT tires fixed that.

My wife has one. It’s reliable, it holds its value and is a very good looking vehicle but it drives like shite. I prefer my wrangler.

Did you get the option for a wrecker to follow you while driving the wrangler?

not quite but I’ll get 2-3 inches of additional clearance and keep from sagging in the back when loaded

It’s the official vehicle of California’s divorced single mothers.

It drives like a truck because it is one.

It’s old school and someone utilitarian…..and beloved for that.

Want smooth? This is not the droid you’re lookin for.

Owned two over a 17 year period, most reliable vehicles I ever owned. Outside of general maitenance, replaced one tail light bulb and one lift on the tailgate
