Looking at the video again and I can't help but wonder if there was a misunderstanding between the two cops.
It kinda looked like one cop detected a gun on Sterling's right side and yelled "gun". Sterling's right arm wasn't completely restrained because he was a big strong dude.
I can't help but suspect that in the heat of the moment the other cop thought his partner was saying Sterling had actually grabbed his gun.
Cops never admit to making mistakes so we may well never really understand exactly what happened. Let's hope cooler heads prevail and nobody else is hurt because of this.
