Any OT meteorologist see anything threatening? There's been optimism for a week or so that something would pop up in the Gulf.

Bra, don't you know how to search for the NHC's website?

Are you six and need someone to tell you how the wind blows?

You must have permission from the board monitors to post tropical threads unless there is a Cat 3 hurricane in the gulf

Canadian model along with GFS ensemble indicating a surface low (1009 mb) forecast to develop southeast of Tampa by Friday. The low does not move much through 120 hours ( 00z Sunday). Moderate shear if 20 kts will probably inhibit tight organization and heat release will be spread out from thunderstorms. Rainfall over southwest fla and central fla with 5 day totals of 4-6 inches likely.

Would not think the low will deepen rapidly. Perhaps 1007 mb at best.

Not a weather guy, but the clouds appear to be moving in the wrong direction (easterly) for tropical formation
