Baton Rouge, 73 as of 6/20/2022.
New Orleans, 145 as of 6/20/2022 and leads the Nation.

It's getting hot out there.

So despite the constant hate on the OT - East Baton Rouge has half the murders of New Orleans, but 22% higher population.

Honestly I thought EBR would be way worse.

New Orleans is a disaster.

It’s pretty chill over here on the NorthShore.

That's like a 400 pound man calling out a 500 pound man for being fat.

Fr33manators lyrics, covering Garth Brook’s “Callin Baton Rouge”

KILLIN BATON ROUGE

“I spent last night in the ER in Louisiana
North on Airline highway, got shot and still it hurts.
They got no hesitation, killing woman, man or child
It’s the same population, murder with a golden smile,
Killin' Baton Rouge

The mayor and police chief can’t seem to figure why
That every night in North BR somebody dies
To read another one’s shot dead’s no longer strange,
Thuggin’ and Lovin’ It, ain’t never gonna change,
Killin' Baton Rouge

Operator, don’t you know that we’re screwed
Got another one down in Baton Rouge
Broome and Paul, talking tough about crime,
But we’ll add to the death toll one more time,

I know, It’s all too clear, This city’s in decline,
And it won't be long until there’s murders all the time
But until then, They’ll spend your money up right down to the last dime Killin' Baton Rouge

Operator, don’t you know that we’re screwed
Got another one down in Baton Rouge
Broome and Paul, talking tough about crime,
But we’ll add to the death toll one more time,

Killin' Baton Rouge
Yeet Baton Rouge
Die Baton Rouge, oh No No…”

Well, with 170 murders last year, EBRP should not be wagging fingers at anyone, but being kind of quiet right now and hoping it stays trending lower than last year’s utter embarrassment. It’s still out of control though, and we’re halfway to 140 murders without getting to the peak murder season, and that’s certainly not something to have a parade over. We’ll still be one of the top 10 worst cities for homicides at years end. That’s got to change if we want to have a future here.

Yeah not sure I'd be celebrating what's on pace to be the 2nd highest murder total on record in BR

No one’s celebrating. It’s just sad at how bad New Orleans happens to be relative to a city that the OT loves to hate.

NOLA is just taking back its rightful place as the murder capital of the US. Nobody has more titles.

St Louis has had 153 as of June 14 St Lou Homicide Tracker
Baltimore has 169 as of yesterday. Baltimore Homicide Tracker

Sitting at that #3 but #1 is in range. NOLA.com needs to get their shite together and create a tracker.
