Is that how this works. Since he committed a crime before, then that exonerates the two guys who ambushed and killed him. Is it perfectly legal to execute criminals in the street, no matter when or what the crime was? I had no idea thats how our justice system worked.

Never said it did. Just giving more information on the young man.

If they wanted to shoot him before the confrontation they would have just shot him, not gone to all the trouble to redirect him and all that. They would have started shooting as he’s running towards the stopped vehicle.
One could also say, if they had no intention of shooting him at all, they wouldnt have blocked him in the street waiting with their guns pointing.

From the two calls here it appears they called at the start of them pursuing him.
Interesting. This conflicts with some of the assertions in this thread from earlier this morning.
How does this make it better for the McMichaels?
I think it makes it worse for them. They knew cops were on the way, yet still decided to set up a roadblock and hop out and pull the shotgun on him.
It makes it even more egregious to not just follow him until the police arrive if they know the cops are on the way.

considering the 911 transcripts have been discussed throughout the thread, I have no idea why you think the 911 calls are "new facts"

What were you trying to imply with this statement?

Is that why you referred to him as dindu?
Also, it was 7 years ago. I bet you think the two teens from the how to make a n word video dont deserve to have that "mistake" held over their heads...

I dont care what crime the guy did 8 years ago. He doesnt have to be a saint who has never gotten in any trouble at all. What those two did were not right and very illegal, no matter how thin or thick of a rapsheet he may have.

Then why do they need the weapon at all if they have no intention of ever using it?
And if you're going to say for self-defense, why are they voluntarily putting themselves in a situation in which they have to defend themselves? Why not let the police handle it without intefering? There's not any way for them to get out of this.

Because some of the assertions this morning were that these guys committed first degree murder. That they had the intention from the outset to kill the guy. There was at least one post this morning that even said something to the effect of "they would have called the cops" if they weren't planning on killing him.

Are people in here saying they didn't call 911 until after the shooting?
