Quote where I said it was justified not a murder and I'll stop.
You cant. But keep digging in because you want to argue with someone. Your wife yell at you or something today?

Anybody that invokes this I can’t help but feeling no sympathy towards. They all seem like Zimmerman, out looking for trouble.

Strange, he runs to the other side of the truck where the guys aren't like he is avoiding them, but as soon as he gets around the truck he bee lines right for the guy not in the truck.
It's really strange.

Too bad the cameraman ddidnt stay on the victim.

Nothing good was going to come out of this confrontation, but it looks like the fatal mistake was fighting the guy that tried to box him in with his shotgun. Its kinda strange to me that grown men think it's a good idea to get shotguns then surround pedestrians to do a "citizens arrest" based on being suspicious looking.

Hard to believe that can be justified. I would think the biggest question will be the sentencing.
FWIW I would categorize this as a murder and not a lynching. Although I do think the race of the victim (as well as personal character of the aggressors) played a significant role.
The distinction I would make is that lynching is designed to terrorize a population as well as kill a person. Without additional information we can't easily infer a broader population was intended to be cowed. My opinion would reverse if either aggressor has internet rants showing a different motivation.

Yeeesh. Yeah, sorry my fellow crackers. These boys are gonna go to jail for awhile.

I'm no lawyer, but I'm pretty sure you can't do a citizens arrest on someone who is just "acting suspiciously". You have to catch them committing a crime.
These guys are screwed.

Sounds just like a defense attorney statement to me rather clearly.
Judge: "How does your client plead?"
Attorney: " Not guilty. The defendants were having their guns taken from them when they shot."

Why am I not surprised there are posters on the OT that found a way to defend this.
Nado and pride87 do this same shite in every controversial thread I believe
Gotta get the people riled up.

What a disgusting act. Anyone sticking up for these two rednecks deserve to be killed the same way this young man died. What I just watched is cold blooded murder. Give them both the needle.

Now once a fight for control of the shotgun starts then one could claim they are in fear for their life and make an argument for lethal force.

if anyone has an argument for a fear for life it’s the dude who got shot.
Would the deceased still be alive if no struggle for the gun existed? I can't answer that question but I would think so.
You can't have a struggle for control of a gun with one person.
This point has nothing to do with either parties intentions prior to the struggle for the gun.

So I read three pages of this. I’m sure a lot of this has been covered. But I’ll share anyway
My mother is good friends with someone who live s two doors down from where this happened. She knew the father and son and said that family was a POS anti-social family who “thought they were better than everyone else.” She told my mother she wasn’t surprised they were involved in something like this.
Huge issue right now that the father was an inspector for multiple DA offices. Most of the nearby court systems for a couple of counties have had to recuse themselves due to ethics standards. People are absolutely furious arrests haven’t been made.
Also I saw on the news that someone tried to scare off CNN crews earlier by apparently firing a gun when the CNN van arrived. Needless to say, things in the area are tense and I will try to keep out of Brunswick as much as possible while im down here

So they did call 911 I believe and they were told to stay away until police arrived and the operator continuously asked them to stop following him

Were the neighborhood break-ins happening to homes?
Supposedly, from my mother’s friend, this whole thing started because they saw him near an abandoned house and were accusing him of going into it. The validity of that or how that actually played out, I don’t know.
