Yeah, that guy sounds certain...

Climate change idiots are really the worst.

My issue is what % human interaction plays in what has happened to this planet after every ice age for 4,000,000,000 years

I don't think you understand how science works.

You could use models and use past data to come to a conclusion on what they might be without the human element.

But that science would never be 100% known.

Keep enlightening me. What’s the ballpark number in 2020?

We have a serial downvoted in here. He keeps missing Salmon’s posts though

This link has multiple pictures from the same location with a slider to compare 1910s to current day. Pretty clear shrinkage.

Most of the Glaciers there are actually remnants of the 'Little Ice Age' of the 16th-19th centuries. Since that, they've mostly retreated, but have somewhat waxed and waned depending on the particular winters the area experiences.

It's a remarkable part of the country. When I was there a few years ago, I found the amount of harping on "man-made" climate issues a bit tiresome.

The government is the shady mechanic and the general population is the gullible/ditzy blond housewife who needs an oil change yet drives off spending $2,500 on made up problems.

I find it hard to believe someone as knowledgeable on this subject as you, with the billions spent on data to determine the cause and effect of humans on the environment, doesn’t know the generalities of where the numbers are with regards to this incoming catastrophe. That would almost be irresponsible on your part not to know.

Okay.

ETA, Although, I recall having a nice exchange with you about the area previously. Congrats on being the prick now, I guess. I hope to get back there anyway.

Fed land managers are climate change Nazis. I had to submit a operating plan a few years ago regarding land use in a national forest and it dealt far more with climate change than the subject at hand. The topics they wanted us to address were way off topic.

The doomsday prophecies and over exaggerations dealing with CC hurt their case and create doubt.

I believe the actual science behind the theory, but the outcomes are simply opinions stated by true believers

People diss the skeptics but it's the fault of those who exaggerate that we have skeptics to begin with.

Gore isn't even close to the worst offender. There are armies of true believers.

CC has to be dealt with but we aren't dealing with mass extinction. Mass migration, maybe.

IMHO:

The US electorate today is the most heavily indoctrinated and propagandized demo group in the history of Western Civ. It's more comprehensive than even Hitler's and Stalin's efforts because today mass media and social media are more accessible to everyone and everywhere.

I'm aware. But he kinda started the whole political movement. He popularized it.
