475 people died TODAY in Italy. This is going to get a lot worse very soon.
We will have around 25k to 30k test positive, maybe more if we can actually get people tested, by this time next week. We are at 9,400 right now.

Italy has reviewed 18% of patient death records and only 3 in that set did not have any prexisting pathology. Extrapolate that to 100% and we are talking less than 20. Who were likely just elderly. Out of ALL of Italy’s deaths (Yes all of them...not just 18%) 17 victims were under 50. All victims under 40 were males with SERIOUS existing medical conditions.
You sound weak.
Better toughen up, and stop whining.
Is you single-wide about to get repo’d?

Not sure I believe this. My team member’s uncle just passed from COVID at age 55 & zero major health issues outside of the virus. Could be an anomaly but nonetheless 3 seems low for the amount of cases they have had.
Well that’s not possible, according to the medical geniuses on here.

Frick this shite. Can we have our economy back?
Cool. Let's let's have millions die because of this. That will help the economy.
"As many as 82 million Americans with employer-based coverage have a pre-existing condition, ranging from life-threatening illnesses like cancer to chronic conditions like diabetes, asthma, or heart disease."

No...we should not save 3 people at the cost of millions of jobs and the global economy. It’s Darwinism. Survival of the fittest. Maybe now, after all of this is done, people will start taking better fricking care of themselves. We drive cars every day. 1.25 million people die every year...3800 a day...from car accidents. You want to give those up too to save lives? How about sugar? And alcohol? Should be banned right? to protect the people from themselves and save lives? You are the one showing your stupidity. We accept death for the greater good every day.
Not your call to make.
If you’re one of the 3, we wouldn’t have to read this “sky is falling” drivel.

Not suggesting we do nothing. Quarantine them. Produce more ventilators. But the other 96% of the population has to continue to function.

I just find it funny we are crashing our economy to save some 80 year olds. Boomers will never retire now.
Maybe we can put all the old people in camps, just to speed the process along.
Does this sound good to you?

frick your economy. You're being asked to sit at home for a little while and possibly get compensated by the government to do so. Chill the frick out and enjoy the time off.
Yes.

Stay home, and quit your whining. LSUFAUTHFUL sounds like a spoiled child that isn’t getting their way.

That's quite a large extrapolation, though. It could easily be inaccurate.
Also, don't forget how many Americans have comorbidities.

You do realize by “health conditions” they are including things like “overweight” and “high blood pressure”
As far as Americans are concerned, that’s pretty much everyone over 30 anyway

Death is not the only downside of getting it. Think about the lawyer in his 40s in a coma on a ventilator for several days. If he pulls through, he won't be a death stat, but it's not like he just had the sniffles.
I no one--zero--died, it would still be worth prevention to avoid a big swath of people being severely ill and filling hospitals to the point the facilities have trouble treating you when you have a heart attack or your kid when she gets in a car wreck or has appendicitis.
I am pretty damned cautious when ordinary flu is in season, and I don't personally worry about it killing me. It is still hell to have.

I'm gonna know a lot of people who die from a lot of different shite. So what? Nature will do its thing. All we can do is treat those people worth saving. Not everyone should be put on life support and ventilated for the last month of their life.
Most people are too damn selfish and think they should live forever. God forbid maw maw and paw paw dies before they make their 99th birthday.
