Very conveniently bought a self defense insurance policy 12 days before. She was also researching self defense laws and probably instigated him opening her door.
Looks like she got lit up

I didn’t follow this closely, but he only opened her car door while the kids were getting into his car. Doesn’t sound like stand your ground to me with other things I’ve read. I think she wanted him gone.

I’m just from the area, went to that Walmart a bunch in high school. Don’t know anyone involved personally; I hope they do though.

Is this the case a few years ago that started the outrage at the conceal carry insurance companies? She shot the ex through the open car window or something? CC Ins hire her a lawyer and give him a budget but she was charged and the CC Ins dropped her because of that? In a situation you would probably need the insurance they won't be there for you?

Read the policy. Most of them have no desire to pay your bills if you get charged and go to trial.
