God bless him. Pancreatic cancer at any stage is damn near a death sentence, much less stage 4.

I don't know why you're replying to me. I was being since and talking about an actual story. Pancreatic cancer is awful and I feel terrible for the guy.

This sucks. Alex Trebek is everyone's favorite uncle. Also this man was maybe the coolest guy to ever meet the 70's.

Not really responding to you other than you started the thread. Really didn’t know who to quote because there are so GD many foul posts on this subject. I’m with you. I feel bad about this and hope it doesn’t happen to anyone I’m close to.

I've lost nearly all my relatives to cancer, you need to lighten the frick up. The joke would kill in a cancer ward. Laughter is all most of them have left.

So far.
Steve Jobs is the only one I know that lasted for approximately 5 years.
When this is diagnosed, it's usually less than six months (from my experiences).

It’s a fricking death sentence. Best friends dad outlived what the Drs said he would by 3 fold but it came back with a vengeance the last time.

85-90% of pancreatic cancer is adenocarcinoma. Very aggressive and the diagnosis in normally caught late. Surgery is an option if caught in stage 1 or 2 but the numbers don’t lie.
The more rare forms like Steve Jobs had have a better survival rates but still aren’t great.
My dad had adenocarcinoma caught in stage 2 had the surgery( whipple procedure) and lasted a little over 2 yrs.

They don’t detect it until it’s in stage 4. The few that have survived it was by the hand of God. They were getting checked for something else and found it early on.
