Are y’all serious? Trebeck is a super pretentious douche. I’m sorry to hear he has cancer but don’t make him out to be some super cool dude
Well, unlike you, I'VE met him in person as a contestant (April 2013, show broadcast on July 26, 2013), and he IS a really cool dude.
As some of my other fellow Jeopardy! contestants have been discussing, for most of us, appearing on Jeopardy! was one of the greatest experiences of our lives. For Alex, it was another day at the office-- for over 35 years. But because he never acted that way, our experience was all the better. Never cold, never snobby, open yet professional, the guy is a class act.

I don’t want to derail the thread, but do you really think God gives a shite about death? Think about it.
What you know about death potheads?

Won $1,000
Seriously, finished with $9,599 on the board. But the guy who won that game finished with almost $30,000 on the board. He became a six-day champion, who at that point, was (IIRC) 9th on the all-time money list, and got to the later rounds of the TOC.
This was back in 2013.

That's really cool, man. He seems a pretty down to earth dorky dude. Definitely saddened by this as I absolutely love jeopardy. Brad's team really took it to Ken and Colby this week.
Definitely sad for Alex since Pancreatic is not good. Anyone ever find out if it's endocrine or exocrine?
