He will be needing more Chemo he says. Things sounded promising for a while. Hope he can recover

May I have “I hope he’ll be OK” for $200?

Pancreatic cancer is no joke. I'm extremely surprised he has made it this long.

We were told when my mother-in-law had it that 90% of all diagnoses of this disease die within a year.

I had a friend die of pancreatic cancer. I was having a beer with him in October and he was dead in January.

I had an aunt that already had leukemia, and was diagnosed with pancreatic (I don't know what stage). She died in less than three weeks.

I've had two friends die from this b*tch. Both died within 2 months of diagnosis. What is Ginsberg getting to beat this?

My dad was diagnosed in February and died in May of 2007. He was a 37 and had been sober for 16 years. Weighed 200 lbs at diagnosis, died at 80 lbs. frick.

Until the past 5-10 years, it was pretty much an automatic death sentence.

his recovery sounded too good to be true. Hope I'm wrong and he is around for a long time reading answers to questions like he knew them all along.

Me too. I'm sure it helps that he can afford the best of the best care available for people with such a diagnosis.
I'm just as sure if it was the "Average Joe" that was diagnosed with it when he was, they'd likely be long gone by now.
Hey, the guy is 79 years old and has had a great life but it still sucks to go out like that.

A friend of mine was diagnosed with it almost three years ago and he is still going.
He went to his doctor about a year and half ago and he asked the doctor what next and the doctor told him he wasn't sure because none of his patients had lived that long after being diagnosed

My father was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer last March and he's currently doing very well.
He did however go through a few months of hell last summer with chemo so it surprised me seeing Trebek doing so well with very little down time.

not the same thing, but a good friend of about 25 years was diagnosed with throat cancer about a month ago, and his followup 3 days ago gave him about 3 weeks to live.
frick Cancer man - such an unfair disease.

Terrible! Throat cancer seems to be really common these days.
