That area isn't that bad. It's certainly not what it was 30 years ago.

Likely waiting until they acquire enough land for stores in the region to build all at once. Cheaper to build and then cheaper to operate the stores with distribution costs down.

Maybe that area is improving. Used to be a good area, then bad, maybe the flood flushed a lot of the bad out.

Went to one in upstate NY. Like shopping for food at a Dollar General, but even fewer people.

Aldi is a cheap German owned grocery store.
Sells mostly store brand stuff.

There are a few shitty apartments around there but still some middle class neighborhoods as well. It's perfectly fine during the day for the most part.
I lived in an apartment right near there on O'Neal during Katrina.

You get the quarter back, it's not really renting. More of placing a deposit you get back. I like it, helps make sure buggies are returned and not left rolling around the parking lot to hit a car.
