She genuinely just didn’t care about me. It was her backyard now.

Lucky his eyes weren’t clawed out.I’ve killed a couple, they have some hellacious claws.
I used to not shoot them until my neighbor found about a 40 lb. yearling buck a bobcat killed

If bobcats are so widespread in tUS, why have they never become iconic?

I had to wiki just to see what they look like

The Cali flag has a bear, gators can rep both LA & FL, & I've seen lots of movies & TV shows w/ mountain lions, but I dont recall ever seeing a show about a bobcat.

U-Cincy is The Bobcats, but that's pretty much it

I went to Buchanan Elementary in Baton Rouge. We were the Bobcats.

And Duh... Texas State Bobcats!

When I elk hunt is see mtn lions way too often.

I hike in the Rockies all the time, and I have been for a dozen years. In all of those hikes I’ve never seen a lion. I also camp out sometimes. Another thing, I’ve probably seen 250 beaver dams, but I’ve never seen a beaver, except one time in a lake in the middle of Stockholm.

Direct bobcat encounters/attacks are extremely rare and there has never been a recorded human fatality from a bobcat attack. They're generally shy and try to avoid confrontation with humans, well......unless you're really good at acting and sounding like a turkey.

They've just never had the temperament or stature to garner a reputation like other big mammal predators.

I absolutely saw a mountain lion driving from Cowan to Sewanee, Tn on Monteagle mountain.
I pulled over and watched it until it saw me. Huge leap and gone.
Big beautiful blonde cat.

I had a mountain lion shadowing us on a opposite ridge in Colorado for a day and a half
We were more frustrated he was going to scare of any elk
He never got close or came across but it was an erie feeling knowing he was lurking
When we crossed in a creek bed we saw his prints.
He was a big boy.

I've seen a single wolf in eastern Idaho that was scary to me knowing there were probably a dozen more that I didn't see.
