Starts tomorrow, lasts until the end of July. She says she wants to avoid closing things in Alabama back down.

I haven’t noticed many businesses enforcing JBE’s order in my area.

Seems easy enough
I dont get within six feet of another person when I am at the store
No mask needed
Still waiting for the state code for the enforcement of this "mandate"

Governor Ivey acknowledged the difficulty in enforcing it. Her main thing seemed to be calling on people to do it so that nothing gets shut back down, rather than talking about strict enforcement.

Alabama has been one of the least “closed” states during this whole thing. Our “shutdown” was barely a shutdown and lasted for a brief time compared to most other places. If this is what it takes to keep that up, then so be it.

End of July.
I think they chose that date because that's when the already existing "Safer at Home" order expires. I assume it'll be extended beyond the end of July, but they are just taking it short periods at a time.

If you think this has anything to do with anything other than political pressure and the "monkey see, monkey do" mindset in our country's leadership these days, you're fooling yourself.

I wasn't giving my opinion on it, I'm just posting what she said.

The order does have a penalty of a $500 fine or jail time. Gov. Ivey says they are not asking police to actually seek out people without masks or make arrests, that criminal penalties are not their goal.

Damn, beach trip planned for the end of July, early Aug. But, guess I only have to worry about it if my set-up is within 6' of a group of 10 people.
My group will only be 7 people, and 2 would be under the mask mandate rule anyway.

I've yet to see where ANYONE has been fined for not wearing a mask. Have you seen any articles? It's fear mongering to get control.
I'd fight that all day
