Last night, during the Sunday Night football game Al Michaels said "The Giants had a worse week than Harvey Weinstein" referring to last week when two of their WRs had season ending injuries.

twitter Moments

I kind of laughed to myself when I heard him say it. The thought that it was offensive didn't even cross my mind until I saw what's in the above link. Does anyone think this is something that should be a story or should cost Michaels his job calling the Sunday night games?

If anyone was actually offended by this, they really need some real life things to worry about.

I watched about 30 seconds of the game last night, and i heard it.
Not offended or anything pussified like that, but i don't know what on earth compelled him to say something that stupid.

It was a joke that fell flat because of the timing.

I don't think it was funny, but he shouldn't be crucified over it.

I agree. I mean who doesn't love a joke about someone being raped.

It was a lazy lulz-y joke.

But, we are living in the Offended Age.

The calls for him to be fired aren't even surprising to me anymore.

He never joked about anyone getting raped or assaulted.

Comedy just falls on deaf ears nowadays.

I mean, he's making a joke about a freshly outed, alleged rapist. Do you really not see that as a sensitive topic?

He should have known better, given the easily offended society we live in.

Was it a dumb joke? Yes.

Should he lose his job or be suspended? Hell no.

Anybody that fricking sensitive should be watching Oprah's network instead of Sunday Night Football.

ETA: Stole this from an SS post the other day
