The causeway westbound is no picnic right now.
I love how these people think that they've got it figured out that they can get back up on the ramps right before you get to the tunnel like that's going to solve anything. A whole lot of them are just sitting there

The Alabama one needs serious fixes with the ingress and egress. Memorial Day weekend it took me 45 minutes to get out of there. I ran out of curse words to say in the car.
Mississippi is slightly better with the traffic management.
The other day I was in the new Brunswick Georgia one and it seems like they had a good system.

Crushed the breath hold with traffic yesterday. My wife doesn’t believe I did it but I broke out in a sweat halfway on the up ramp.
ETA I think most traffic yesterday (outside of mobile) was caused by the Mexican auction caravans doing 55 in the right lane.

They have already begun the construction on that new bridge. If you spot those cranes over there by the Battleship, they have been pile driving for weeks now.

I’ve disliked that tunnel since 1997 when I saw the movie with Sylvester Stallone about cars being trapped and flooded and they had to escape.
Yes it’s a movie but I think about it every time we go through the mobile tunnel.

Made it home at 12:30 to beautiful St George.
Left OBA at 7:30, stop for gas , 30-40 min traffic before Spanish fort bc of a wreck and a stop for bathroom and food for the kids at Grand Bay. All things considered not bad!
