Airport on Elmer's Island?

I read a small article in the Advocate that there are plans for a Grand Isle Airport. It will be on Elmer's Island. It will have a landing strip, hangar, fueling etc. Anyone know anything about this?

Will make it much easier to get to GI than Venice. Cuts the trip to 25 minutes from KNEW. Not sure where they are going to put it or who will be the FBO.

If Port Eades and Pecan Island can have air strips I don’t see why Elmer’s Island can’t.
