Shockingly, the city has ignored this problem for years and now someone is dead. Glad we pay one of the highest local tax rates in the country for this splendid government of ours.

A good tazing out of sight of witnesses or cameras would change his desire to hang out there.

You think he has leftover money after trying to keep that thing road worthy every month? He's probably leaving a leased C-class MB payment's worth of leaked oil on his driveway every year.

Doesn't leak a drop of oil!

Don't ask me about coolant, though.

I don't mean that its run down its just completely infested with panhandlers. I'll never go to either of those gas stations by the interstate.

I go to that Racetrac every once in a while. Most gas stations in the city have panhandlers now.

I don't usually carry cash anyway so I don't typically have anything to give, not that I do when I have some on me anyway.

Where is this tent city???

It is really bad and super annoying on Siegen but i never knew why.

I always get on the outside lane under the overpass when waiting to get up on i10 west. It’s a long light and i hate them coming up to my window. I usually don’t have any cash or change and if i do, i have to dig it out of my purse which i don’t like doing with them at my window.

They are in the home goods Jason’s deli parking lot too. Have to get in that outside lane as well.

And last night i was leaving Lowe’s taking the exit near backyard burger and even though i wanted to turn left onto siegen, i got into the right lane and went all the way down to the race trac to turn around because i didn’t want to get in the left lane once i saw a beggar there.

I know it sounds snowflakey, but i feel like it’s a violation of my personal space and freedom to drive where i want to. They’re at the off ramp from i10 East too.

And they’ve approached me in some of the siegen store Parking lots and gas stations. That really makes me mad. It’s creepy and scary.

It's in a wooded area right off of the interstate service road between Siegen and Bluebonnet on the Blue Cross side.

Apparently the cops can't do anything because it's private property and the land owners haven't asked for them to be removed.

Interesting. Can you see it or do the trees hide it?

Would be a terrible shame if some people got confused and thought the beggars camp was a courthouse and threw some Molotov cocktails in there.

Democrats say that’s just swell, and “peaceful protesting”

There was a video posted on here of some guy flying a drone over it awhile back. You can see it through the trees if you know where to look.

ETA - found it YouTube

I have had a ton of issues in the parking lot at Trader Joe's. I even had an aggressive panhandler in the store try and get me to buy him all kinds of shite. I don't give them much of a chance when I see them coming.

Seems like a fire in those woods could get out of control quickly. On a windy day it could spread and burn the whole thing down
