We'll have to look at adding it to the mix.

Judging by the overall tone of this thread, where people indicate their willingness to give up basic features of life prior to COVID due to their unwillingness to face risks that were considered minor or nonexistent prior to COVID, I would say overall normalcy will not come back for a long time.

you think this is the tone of this thread?

It'd be cool to see drive-in theatres make a come back as a niche

Coming back in a big way here in DFW. That is for sure. We went to one a few weeks back and my kids loved it

I don't think bowling alleys will be able to rebound.

Beer pong with beer in the cups. The water in the cups, beer on the side method works just as well with less cleanup

Hopefully people will stick to staying 6 feet away from me. Can’t stand it when I’m in a line and someone feels the need to be breathing down my back.

I was never a fan pre COVID. Some dudes have clammy hands or sweaty hands. It's just gross.

a lot of the posts in this thread are just doom and gloomers doing what they do

the vast majority of people have already, or will return to their normal activities soon

Has anyone mentioned cruises yet? Because those aren't going to be normal for a while.

I would bet a lot of those boats while totally full will quickly fill up with people once the numbers go down. People love their all-inclusive crusises.

Good: pointless meetings at work. We realized how we can get by just fine without excess meetings

Bad: the loss of the separation between work time and home time. Now that you can do things virtually, if something is going on and you are supposed to be off, the company may expect you to use personal time to attend to it.

I agree that traditional bowling alleys were going away but the more upscale gastropub/bowling alleys that were popping up were doing extremely well.

I doubt that you care, but the downvotes that you are receiving is a complete and direct indictment of how asinine your thread is.

Small retail businesses on mainstreet

A LOT of indoor music venues and large music festivals
Movie theaters
Mid-sized chain Big box retail clothing stores
Trying on clothes at the store
Freedom of movement to travel via airplane (especially internationally) without a ton of extra steps, papers, and examinations

Now go item by item and tell me what replacements are we expecting for these things that are going away.

Large music festivals and indoor arenas are going away? You really think that?
