This is total BS - I had the “over” on whether this would turn racial by April 4th. Now I’m out $20.

Then, when the shelter-in-place order came, there was a natural pushback among those who recalled other painful government restrictions — including segregation and mass incarceration — on where black people could walk and gather.

The coronavirus entered Milwaukee from a white, affluent suburb. Then it took root in the city’s black community and erupted.
The city’s patient zero had been in contact with a person from a neighboring, predominately white and affluent suburb who had tested positive.

It’s true just like every time I wake up, the sun is also up. Therefore, opening my eyes makes the sun come up.

Orrrrr

A day later came the city’s second case, someone who contracted the virus while in Atlanta.

Well patient zero occurred first so the affluent whites definitely caused the virus to spread into the more African American parts of the city. A one day difference is all the evidence I need to rule out that someone returning from Atlanta could be responsible.

COVID deaths are disproportionately spiking in Black + Brown communities.

Why? Because the chronic toll of redlining, environmental racism, wealth gap, etc. ARE underlying health conditions.

Where are all the black professional athletes taking a stand, buying respirators or masks, spending money to help..maybe if they take a knee to combat the virus..

want a real platform? Be like Brees and do something that helps and matters.

This. How do they know their “patient zero” didn’t give it to the affluent white person and said white affluent person just showed symptoms faster/ got tested first??

I think it's due to LA having quite a few clusters in nursing homes throughout the state.

LDH site said 61 as of yesterday and they named them BUT they took the names of the homes down and will no longer name them as they're too many. But the numbers will be recorded on Mondays & Fridays according to the website.
