Can we add forced classes to study all minority groups? We could have 6 or 7 forced classes just on the Louisiana tribes, or are we only forcing people to take this class?

Good for LSU but I’m disappointed that a mandatory class on the contributions and history of Cajuns isn’t being proposed.

You also forgot about the Irish immigration and the reason many came through the port of New Orleans

But I have a particular interest in that - maybe LSU will let me teach it

I haven't a college degree and would bet my life that I have worked with, under, and over more black people than every single member of the African American Studies Department.

Point taken. But are non racists so easily swayed to be racists by anti-racist classes? I was forced to take English classes but I didn't become an English major.

You need to look up why you were ‘forced’ to take English classes in college.

The people who are pushing this anti-racist class are the racists. And there’s nothing educational that’s going to come out of it.

HOLY shite. I have been quoted in The Advocate. I guess this is the height of my time on the OT.

At least they changed “worthless fricks” to “fricks”.

The whole 2020 thing really ruined college football for me this year. It appears LSU is making moves to ruin it for good. I can support a school that forces indoctrination on people

I am offended by this macroaggression. Social justice and the transformation of racist systems demands that LSU also force students to take the following 1) cajun history 2) creole history 3) latin historical influence 4) vietnamese history and its contribution to Louisiana 5) chinese american history 6) cuban american history 7) mexican american history 8) a course in each of the following tribal histories a) choctaw b) caddo c) houma d) tunica e) atakapa and f) natchez since they were here before everyone else 9) viking history and its role in discovering north america 10) the role of honduran immigrants and its effects on Louisiana building practices 11) the role judaism in the development of New Orleans...by the time we are done, kids will take 30 classes of nothing but raced based studies. I mean, if its good enough for one group of people, then equity demands that it is good for all other BIPOC groups and people of oppresed religious minorities correct?

My kid (2021 grad) grew up bleeding purple and gold. Wanted to go to LSU his whole life...has the grades and we live out of state. We cannot get LSU to give us a straight answer nor do they communicate on his acceptance into the school. They keep moving the anticipated communication date.

On the other hand, Ole Miss (gross) has gone out of their way to not only accept him but also send handwritten notes wishing happy holidays and encouraging him to come to Oxford with personal messages about his highly successful high school football team.

My point is LSU and its many issues are losing future lifelong tigers to other schools who have their shite together.

Is hot garbage from an educational standpoint. They keep lowering the standards to get more unqualified students in. If your kid comes here, make sure they major in a real field to avoid the progressive plague that’s taking over.

I’d go to ole piss

This is true for just about every college in the country right now. Anything under the college of liberal arts is useless and stealing from kids. Colleges need the fat trimmed as much as anyone.

Will they teach the students how 13% of the population commit 51% of the crime?
