I am deciding on going to either LSU, Loyola, or Texas A&M law school. Have a good amount of money to each place, but I just need help deciding where to go. If any of y'all have any insight that could be useful I would really appreciate it. Also I know there will be multiple people who say "don't go to law school," and while that may be accurate, I am doing it anyway. So if anyone has anything useful I could use to help make a decision, I would be forever grateful. Have to decide by April 1

Go to Loyola.

Now, how many free hours this gets me?

Of those three, go to LSU. It's higher ranked and cheaper than Loyola, and Texas A&M only added a law school like 5 years ago.

The only real exception is if you want to work/live in Texas, I guess. Some will say Loyola will give you a better shot at working in New Orleans than LSU, but I've rarely seen any hard evidence of that.

Either Texas or New Orleans. But that's another element of this decision

Don't go to law school, but if you're dead set on going:

If you want to practice in New Orleans, go to Loyola
If you want to practice anywhere else in Louisiana or in a former Spanish/French colony, go to LSU
If you want to practice literally anywhere other than Louisiana in the English speaking world, go to A&M.

If you want to practice in Louisiana and you have a full time job you can work at while you go to school, go to Southern and do the night program.

If you want to practice in LA - LSU...and really it's fine for getting a job and practicing in TX.

Loyola - too expensive and really only has cred in Nola.

TAM - Don't know anything about the school.

Man...dont do it. Too many lawyers. Not enough work. Law schools keep cranking out more attorneys than there are jobs. You'll wind up fixing parking tickets or doing home refinance closings.

My son is in the process of getting out of law for just this reason.

LSU is the better degree in Nola and LA generally. Loyola is the white Southern where you basically pay through the nose to cover over your low LSAT/grades. It's not the better Nola degree its just limited to Nola.

Don’t go to law school. Took me 4 years to get a decent-paying gig.

If you insist on doing the wrong thing (like all of us poor suffering lawyers have done) go to LSU. Easy choice.

I would bet dollars he's getting out of law school because he doesn't have the grades to continue.

DO NOT got to Loyola. LSU is way cheaper and you will pass the bar first time.
