Yeah, pretty much. The second they weren’t responsible enough to avoid pregnancy was the second they forfeited the freedom to care only about themselves. It’s about the kid now as priority one. They’re old enough and seemingly financially stable enough to provide the kid a solid up bringing. That’s the responsible thing to do. It’d be a different story if they were 16, in which case adoption might be the best scenario for the kid.

I like this. Do a little talk about it and ID obvious hurdles in such a situation, put some humor to it to address and tamp down concerns labeled by society, then give it their best shot. Humor important.
But not like passive aggressive humor that only one side thinks is hilarious, and the other not so much. That's a bad sign.
