Red Hot or White. Again, thanks. How are you able to search like that on cars.com? Every time I do a search it limits me to a radius in regards to my zip code.

why not buy a full sized half ton since you are worried about trailering packages etc. never mind, don't bother answering. i don't understand chevy assholes no how.

The only answer I have for you is that I don't want to. If I buy a full sized I'd be inclined to get it fully loaded which would be way over what I'm willing to pay. Plus I just like the scheme of the new Colorado's.

I've never understood this. I'm not committed to just Chevy or any make. I just like what I like I guess.

You have to select "All Miles" in the radius field. It shows 384 Colorado Trail bosses available nationwide. Good luck in your search!

I've done what you are asking many times.
Certain color, certain options; most of which the dealer doesn't have, or has to trade to get.

I picked up that, too.
Dealers a) aren't going to negotiate much off sticker on a "demand" vehicle and b) aren't going to much off sticker on a vehicle they have to bring in from another dealer.
He'll find this out on his own.

In 1996 my mother ordered a Grand Caravan from the factory. Had all of the options except leather and AWD and had them delete the factory roof rack (the trailer towing package was the rarest option that she really wanted).
Took about 6 weeks to arrive and I went with her to pick it on Halloween. The dealer had it in a garage, not out on the lot, so no salesmen would give test drives in it or accidentally try to sell it (only had 7 miles on it). She negotiated the price before it was ordered but the loan didn't begin until delivery. Not sure how much she put down.
Edited to add that I remember her giving in and paying some BS advertising fee ($250 or so?) because the Chrysler vans were really popular during the 96 and 97 model years and sold well. I guess she didn't have the negotiating leverage to get it taken off (or just didn't want the hassle). I think she paid $500 over invoice plus that fee.
Here's a picture of my grandfather in it in Missouri before going canoeing on the Current River. That's my parents' Old Town Tripper on top.

Well after just browsing through the Colorado forum I see that folks have gotten $3K-$5K off MSRP. I have a price in mind and it isn't outlandish. I also qualify for other GM discounts, and a good friend of mine is willing to sign me up for GM supplier discount for friends. So we will see.

No diesel. I would hate to wait that long. It sucks that it was marketed so much and they can't keep up wit the demand. What do you have?

All of this.
You have almost know leverage on special order.
That's where all the OT carbuying guru advice goes out the window.
We get it you don't know the difference between no and know.

Another way to do it is to go to the dealer that actually has it. May be further than 150.
I've flown to Houston, but ice already had the deal done.
You'll do better than having a local giy trade for it.

I ordered a car from the factory. I contacted the dealer, asked them if the invoice price was correct (I was 200 over), and offered to pay 5% above invoice. They agreed, and I got my car in a couple of months.
